About Daisy
Hello! I'm Daisy! I'm a finalist at the University of Oxford, studying BA English Language and Literature.
I achieved high grades across my GCSEs and A-Levels, including the Language and Literature papers, and am set to achieve a high grade in my BA.
I am familiar with the curriculum, the techniques, and the vast majority of texts studied at this level.
I love helping students to improve at this subject– I'm really passionate about English! I helped my siblings during the school closures, and now conduct voluntary tutoring and outreach work in my spare time at university.

Taking on my siblings' (10 & 16) home learning during the lockdowns, I was able to develop approaches to teaching personalised for their needs. My sister worked better with interactive and fun activities, whilst my brother preferred verbal instruction. It was this experience that helped me learn how to take things at a child's pace, and to personalise their learning in a one-to-one environment. My siblings both went back to school ahead of their classes.
This experience also allowed me to familiarise myself with the curriculum, and I have since applied this to voluntary tutor work.
I teach English Language and English Literature at KS2 & 3, GCSE, and A-Level.
Having worked in outreach and access, I am also equipped to assist with the university admissions process, as well as the ELAT.
Lessons tend to work best at an hour long, but can be changed to suit your needs. :)
