About Henry
Having grown up around both Japanese and English from birth, I have a deep understanding of the challenges presented by the Japanese language for speakers of English or other European languages (and vice versa).
I have been passionate about studying languages for as long as I can remember, having enjoyed studying French and German throughout school and then going on to gain a degree in French and Japanese; to this day, I continue to study these and other languages.
Professionally I have many years' experience of working for Japanese companies, and in all roles I have frequently been required to conduct a variety of high-level translation and interpreting tasks.
Additionally I have 1 year of past experience as an English language instructor to Japanese students, as well as 3+ years (ongoing) of experience teaching ESOL in the voluntary sector to learners of varying backgrounds.
Building on these experiences, I aim to provide calm and patient language support that is tailored towards what you wish to learn.
