About Mark

I tutor Maths and Physics for School Children
and English as a Foreign Language for Adults and Business people.

Maths and Physics for School Children:

Hi, I work with Maths and Physics Key Stage 3, GCSE and A(S) Level students who have good potential but might lack a bit of confidence.

I have been a professional tutor for 7 years with over 1500 hours of tutoring.

In our online sessions, I put students in the driving seat and support them in answering and solving Maths or Physics questions. They get to apply and refresh their existing knowledge and recap topics they have missed and increase their understanding and ability to answer exam questions.

After a series of sessions, I often see a marked improvement and higher test scores which in itself builds confidence and self-esteem.

Parents are delighted with how their children progress and the results they achieve in important exams.

I really enjoy Maths and Physics which are fascinating and important subjects. I can also pass on a little of my experience as a Chartered Civil Engineer, in business and life generally. I help students understand why and how maths is important for their career and life which motivates them. I pass my enthusiasm and am delighted to see them flourish.

English as a Foreign Language for Adults:

I teach English as a Foreign Language at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Level. I have a TELF Certificate from International House and taught EFL full time to Spanish Engineers in Spain for one year.

I also work with people wanting to improve their business English.
