About Valerie
My Pilates journey began more than 15 years ago when a demanding City job led to persistent back issues. Seeking relief, I discovered Pilates as a remedy for my back and an effective way to reduce stress. After years of personal practice, I decided to turn my love of Pilates into a career. I am passionate about sharing the Pilates transformative power and all-round goodness. I am a fully insured Polestar Mat and Reformer movement professional. Polestar is an internationally renowned Pilates school focusing on whole-body wellness, using science-based techniques and intelligent movements. My own health challenge has given me a unique insight into why Pilates can improve your well-being. My past life as a Telco Consultant means I have excellent communication skills and a first-hand understanding of the mental stresses that a fast, busy life can bring upon us. My ethos in life is to have fun, and I am convinced that the movements and focus that Pilates brings will allow you to be a happier version of yourself. I hope to have fun on the mat or on the reformer (albeit in a secure and safe way) with you very soon, either in a One-to-One session or in a Group Class, or even both!

Based on the client's needs, the one-to-one sessions last 55 minutes. Typically, the 1st lesson will include a fitness assessment and goal setting. With meticulously planned sessions blending intelligent movement, targeted fascia release and back-strengthening exercises, Val has created a fun and varied Pilates experience. Choose Pilates on the mat with some small props (balls, roller, bands) or on the reformer/Tower (you must have your own reformer for online or at your home sessions)
