About Alexander
I really enjoy helping students become more confident in their abilities, whether that’s overcoming difficulties with maths or improving their English. I’m approachable and patient, and I understand that learning something new can sometimes feel daunting. I make sure my lessons are relaxed and supportive, allowing students to learn at their own pace and feel comfortable asking questions. I genuinely believe that the more questions you ask, the better! There are no silly questions in my lessons. Whether you’re struggling to understand a maths problem or unsure about how to phrase something in English, I want you to feel completely comfortable asking me to explain it again or approach it in a different way. My goal is not just to help you find the right answer or learn a new word, but to help you understand, improve, and build your confidence along the way. I have experience teaching students both in person and online. I can help with Maths, including revision and working through difficult topics, as well as English, including conversational practice, vocabulary, pronunciation, and general communication skills. I always aim to be reliable, well-prepared, and professional in every lesson, while creating a friendly and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable being themselves. I have experience tutoring students aged 11–16, covering GCSE and A-level Maths. My lessons are structured, supportive, and aimed at building confidence as well as achieving results.
