About YILAN
Hello! My name is Isla and I am a native Mandarin speaker from China, currently studying Japanese and Chinese Studies at the University of Sydney.
I have a strong interest in languages, travel and cultural exchange. Having visited more than 20 countries, I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about their cultures and perspectives.
Outside of my studies, I work in hospitality and communication-focused roles, which has helped me develop strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people easily. I enjoy helping others feel comfortable, supported and confident when communicating in a new language.
