About Claire

I am a front-end engineer in a French unicorn based in Paris and develop my own full stack applications on my free time.

Graduated from a major engineering school, I first worked for nearly 6 years at business positions (marketing, sales, product, entrepreneurship) in several tech companies such as Microsoft, Google and startups, before returning to my passion for software engineering full-time in 2018.

I offer support several topics ranging from the web development, to career coaching, whether you want to evolve as a developer or switch to a career as a developer, but also in personal organization to gain productivity and peace of mind in your work.

Technically, I teach: Web and programming fundamentals, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Sass/Scss, React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Mongoose, writing unit tests with Jest and Testing Library, Git, Github, Firebase, Netlify.

About the lesson

Web development is an exciting discipline through which our ideas come to life. I base my methodology on this approach and strive to link the concepts of development to the real world through concrete use cases and a pedagogic approach focused on building autonomy.

I adapt to any level to allow everyone to achieve their objectives, whether you are starting from 0 or whether you already have notions of development, whether you are an experienced developer wishing to improve your skills or a professional ( le) in retraining curious to learn about development.

TEACHING
Each course is personalized according to everyone's needs, whether you want help on a project, deepen a specific notion or discover the development of applications from scratch.
My favorite subjects are:
- The fundamentals of programming and the Web: how it works, the network, the servers, the browser, the different programming languages, ...
- Git and Github: to manage the code of your application and its versions.
- HTML and CSS and their ecosystem from SCSS to CSS frameworks like Tailwind or Bootstrap.
- Javascript, from beginner to expert.
- How to use third-party libraries such as Axios, Trix, Puppeteer or others.
- React.js and its ecosystem (Redux, ...).
- Vue.js and its ecosystem (Vuex, ...).
- Node.js: how it works and how to create Node.js APIs with Express.js.
- Tests: testing philosophy and writing of unit tests for your Javascript applications with Jest and Testing Library.
- MongoDB: a NoSQL database to store all your application data.
- Deployment: Firebase, Google Cloud Platform, Heroku, Netlify, are some of the main tools I use to deploy applications.
