About Adele
I’m an Italian native speaker with over 20 years’ experience teaching Italian as a foreign language in the UK and abroad. I have taught for Kent Adult Education in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, and Sevenoaks, as well as privately to students of all ages and levels. My international experience also includes teaching in Switzerland for The British Institutes and in private schools, delivering Italian for business courses to professionals and companies, including the fashion brand Guess.

My teaching approach always begins with understanding each student’s needs, goals, and learning style. From there, I design a personalised course plan with well-structured, interactive, and enjoyable lessons that make learning Italian both effective and motivating. I am a passionate and caring teacher, and I regularly review progress with my students to set new targets, overcome challenges, and keep lessons engaging and purposeful. My aim is to create a learning experience that is structured yet relaxed, productive yet fun. To enrich the learning process, I occasionally include Italian films and, where possible, visits to local Italian cafés as a form of “full immersion” — particularly valuable for conversation practice and real-life language use. As a native Italian speaker who has lived in Italy for over 30 years, I bring authentic Italian culture into every lesson, including customs, gestures, colloquial expressions, and fascinating cultural insights that you won’t find in textbooks. Student feedback over the years has been consistently positive and extremely rewarding, reflecting both progress and enjoyment. Please note: My first lesson is not free; however, I offer a little discount on your trial lesson!

Perfect! This was my first lesson. Adele is really friendly and hugely enthusiastic and the hour flew by.
