About Lucy
Hello! My name is Lucy and I'm a female teacher in her late 20s from the UK. I'm enthusiastic about getting to know my students and supporting them to achieve their academic potential. I have 3 years' experience as a classroom English teacher and experience as a private tutor too. In the classroom I taught completely mixed groups and supported GCSE students to attain the top grades. As your tutor I will be encouraging, knowledgeable and ready to adapt to you as a learner.

I teach students between 11-16 years old, of any level of current understanding or SEN. Content will be tailored to suit individual students, varied and engaging, and sequenced to build understanding over time. Each lesson will follow a structure known to be most effective for learning: revisiting prior learning, introducing new concepts, working together to practice and concluding with independent work and feedback.
