About Leo
I have studied languages for many years and have developed several strategies to achieve rapid progression both for myself and now for my students. It is true that everyone learns differently and language learning allows for this flexibility as it is not as rigid as simply 'right or wrong' communication is key! In my classroom, mistakes are encouraged as they help pinpoint misconceptions so they can be tackled and explored and thus promoting active learning and quick improvement. There is never any judgement and no silly questions, some things simply just do not make sense the first time we learn them! The key ingredient to learning a language is perseverance; practice makes perfect!

Bonjour/Hola! I am Leo, a fully qualified teacher of Modern Foreign Languages specialising in French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. I teach all three languages to A level standard, and have tutored beyond. I am an extremely passionate linguist and have a variety of techniques to explain grammar and break down difficult concepts so they can be understood and most importantly, used successfully both in exams and in real life situations. I specialise in GCSE and A-level language exams and can help you reach the top grades in all four components of the exam. I work with my students to ensure they can master the basics of grammar and sentence structure as well as delve into more intricate use of language and complex structures to really impress the examiners.
