About Patrick
I have had vast teaching experience in both England and at home In Northern Ireland delivering PE at GCSE and A-Level across several examination boards. These classes usually consisted of 25 - 30 students all of which have had their own individual learning needs.
I am someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and someone who is willing to do whatever I can in order to ensure that my students fulfill their true potential. This is a testing time for all students particularly those who are entering exam years, the experience that I have gathered thus far I hope will be allow me to enhance your learning and ensure that you get the grades you deserve.

I am a teacher who believes in a very holistic approach to learning that focuses on the student. My experience in applying this results in more student engagement, effective lesson time and as a result more meaningful learning.
My lesson structure will focus on the overarching objectives of the lesson to begin with before delving into the need to know content of the topic. I aim to make the lesson as relaxed as possible allowing constant discussion between teacher and student. Practical or visual activities will be incorporated where necessary to offer another layer of learning. Finally, I will have exam questions available for students in which we will discuss and walk through how to structure and answer.
I strongly believe in a lesson which incorporates both theoretical and practical opportunities, this way my students are able to visualise and engage with the lesson content much more effectively instead of staring at a Powerpoint all lesson (check out my YouTube video for an example).

Patrick has been extremely beneficial for me to further my education. At undergraduate level Patrick would spend a lot of time and effort to help me understand various pieces of coursework and help me for examinations. Very interactive and enjoyable which made learning easier.
