About Georgina

Hi! I'm Georgina, and I'm from a small village in the English countryside.

Born into a musical family, I've been playing the piano for as long as I can remember!
The piano has always been there - whether I've had good days or bad days, I've always been able to express my emotions through playing, which I believe is one of the most special things about music.

I started teaching shortly after I passed my Grade 8 piano exam in 2011, and I absolutely love it. Helping people find their musical voice, and seeing the joy on their faces as they achieve a personal goal (no matter how small it may be) is a feeling you just can’t beat.

We’re not all destined to be concert pianists or the next big singer-songwriter, but we can create our own musical world to escape to. In a time when everything seems to be screen-based, playing the piano gives you a break from scrolling through social media (the only screen you need is the one with the teacher on!) and gives you a skill for life.

About the lesson

I believe that students’ individuality should be embraced - no two students are the same, so no two lessons with me are ever the same!

As much as I can, I tailor lessons to students’ learning styles, personalities and tastes. Want to study to take graded exams? Let’s do it! Want to play songs by your favourite band? Sounds good to me! Want to immerse yourself in the world of music? Then that’s what we’ll do!

I have over 10 years experience teaching young beginners (starting around 5 or 6) and teenagers. My approach to teaching is to always make sure the student is having fun! Learning music should be an enjoyable process, so through creative resources, exciting pieces, and various projects throughout the year, I strive to provide my students with an enriching and engaging musical experience.
