About Laelah

I'm Laelah, from North Sumatera but live in Jakarta now. I graduated from the university with a degree in Agribusiness. I worked as a personal trainer and have been tutoring Bahasa Indonesia for 8 months. Anyway I like to play chess, workout, read books, and travel. I love teaching foreigners (bule) about my native language and introducing them to Indonesian customs, traditions and culture. I'm helping beginners and intermediate learners speak Indonesian in a fun, natural way. I am very comfortable speaking English and enjoy sharing my native language and culture to others. My classes are super chill—we’ll use games, stories, and real daily conversations (plus grammar exercises if you're into that!). We can talk about anything you enjoy: nature, culture, music, daily life, or even random fun topics that make learning feel effortless. Starting a new language can be scary, but don’t worry—you’re not doing it alone. Try one class with me and see how fun Indonesian really is. Oh, and I’m also certified in TOEIC, so you’re learning with someone who knows their stuff!

About the lesson

I have many types of language material including reading, listening, as well as study material and grammar lessons. And of course we will study pronunciation and conversational Indonesian also. Based on your level and goals, I will choose the appropriate material to keep you interested while also developing your vocabulary and grammar skills. Lessons will include Indonesian culture as well as modern topics. My schedule is very flexible allowing me to work around your schedule. For five years I have had experience speaking with adult foreigners at the beginner and intermediate levels. I also have many interests in various subjects.
