About Peter
Learning guitar is a lifelong journey, and I am passionate about guiding students through every step. Holding Bachelor’s degrees in Music, I combine formal training, performance experience, and teaching expertise to create engaging lessons. I start with foundational skills such as posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone, gradually progressing to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is introduced practically and applied to real songs to enhance understanding. Each lesson is personalised to the student’s pace, goals, and interests, fostering creativity, motivation, and confidence.
I emphasise both technical proficiency and expressive playing, helping students communicate through music. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance exercises develop well-rounded musicianship. Students explore diverse genres like classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to expand musical understanding. I provide structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance to overcome challenges while maintaining engagement. Milestones are celebrated to reinforce growth and motivation. I encourage improvisation, composition, and personal expression to help students develop a unique musical voice. Lessons balance discipline, technical mastery, and artistic creativity for an effective learning experience. Over time, students gain skill, confidence, and performance readiness. Teaching guitar is more than instruction—it is mentorship, inspiration, and artistic growth. My goal is to empower students to play with creativity, confidence, and authenticity. Every lesson is an opportunity to cultivate artistry, skill, and a lifelong passion for music.

My journey with the guitar began early and has grown into a lifelong devotion to music education. Holding both Bachelor’s degrees in Music, I combine academic training with real-world artistry. I’ve taught students across ages and backgrounds, helping each one discover the joy of playing. My lessons balance structure with creativity, ensuring a solid foundation and freedom of expression. I emphasise hand technique, rhythm control, and tone development. Music theory is introduced through songs and exercises that feel natural and relevant. I also focus on performance readiness—teaching stage presence and emotional delivery.
My teaching environment is encouraging, goal-oriented, and tailored to every learner’s needs. I believe in building not just skilled guitarists but confident musicians. My passion lies in watching students grow into players who express themselves through their instrument. Teaching is my way of giving back the joy that music has given me throughout my life.
