About Camilo

I am passionate about languages and about teaching. I’m a very friendly easy-going and down to earth person. I understand what it’s like to be on the other side so I usually tailor my lessons to the level of the students. You’ll see that no matter which level you are in, You’ll have a fun time learning as I’m
very friendly and like to make jokes on the spot :)

I also speak intermediate Japanese so I’ve learned a language twice which helps when teaching .

About the lesson

Please note: superprof forces tutors to offer the first lesson free (cannot modify that setting) but I’m not able to offer free lessons due to life commitments atm .

I use a method called Comprehensible Input, which is, according to language experts, the best way to learn a language . This is the way we learn as babies, we acquire it by context, repetition and exposure. It is also very stress-free to come to a lesson and only bring a magazine, or a coloring book. It helps you be present. Grammar does take place eventually, but not in the first lessons as it will get you stuck in your head and it'll stop you from acquiring the language right away, yet grammar is always present when I'm speaking to you anyway. If you wish, we can use the traditional method of grammar first, it's up to you but you know my recommendation;)

Perfect! Very immersive with speaking as much Spanish from the start, which is great to force your brain to not fall back to English all the time. Great to have lessons in a relaxed environment like a cafe or quiet bar to become more familiar with speaking publicly and in settings that you would need to be able to speak Spanish.
