About Gavin
Hi, I’m Gav, a qualified secondary school teacher from Scotland, now living in Australia, with over 20 years of teaching experience. I’ve had the privilege of working with students from all around the world, helping them achieve their academic goals.
Teaching is more than a job for me—it's my passion. I love the process of learning and thrive on building meaningful relationships with my students. I’m determined to help you reach the grades you desire, and I’ll work as hard as you do to get there. You’ll get out of it what you put in, and I’ll be with you every step of the way!
My approach focuses on using mistakes as valuable learning opportunities, supported by clear, constructive feedback. While I prefer in-person sessions, I also offer 30-minute online lessons for flexibility. For online students, work is submitted beforehand, and we use our live sessions to dive into improvement through targeted feedback.

I believe learning from mistakes is key to progress, with constructive feedback being crucial for improvement. While I prefer in-person teaching, my online lessons are 30 minutes long. Students submit work prior to sessions, allowing us to use feedback effectively to focus on areas for improvement and drive progress during our live lesson.
