About Alannah
I achieved A* in both English Language and English Literature GCSEs and achieved a D3 in my English Literature Pre-U (which is equivalent to an A grade at A Level).
I am available to help with primary and secondary school students, in areas such as comprehension, essay writing, grammar and understanding of texts.

My teaching method is tailored to the individual needs of each student.
I will always start by ensuring that the student has a good basic grasp of spelling and grammar, as this is very important when trying to achieve good grades. I will later go on to how to formulate answers to questions, whether this is as part of an essay or a comprehension. I believe that having a grasp of these skills is something which will help push grades up.
Of course, I can also help with any needs, including how to analyse and understand both prose and poetry, how to write creatively and anything else that the student may require.
