About Ben
I love DT, and I still use it daily working as a labourer/landscaper before I hope to start training in the Navy. However, when talking to my cousin/family friends who are currently taking GCSE /A-Level DT, I realised that I actually had a lot to offer, despite having finished my own A-Level a couple of years ago!
So earning some extra cash whilst doing something I enjoy seems like a good idea to me.

DT exams are all about just learning the content of the exercise book, and being able to apply it in a few simple ways, for example an exam might ask along the lines of: "Do you use a bolt, screw, rivet or nail in this piece of joinery?" I can help test your knowledge and consolidate like any other exam.
DT coursework is a test of inventiveness, whilst also being a tick box exercise. I achieved my 98% mark by closely following the mark scheme, and thinking of creative ways to exemplify each marked point.
In the lessons, I will help you:
1) Interpret the mark scheme to input the correct content.
2) Be an ideas man to help you present your work in diverse, clear ways so that ideas flows well within the project. Anyone coming fresh to the project should be able to navigate their way through.
3) Teach and assist with any specialist skills, such as sketching, design flows, some light CAD work, and practical advice when you come to make your product.
