About Rosie

I am an experienced KS3 and GCSE English language and literature teacher and have been tutoring full-time online for one year now. This year, I had many year 11s come to me looking for tutors for GCSE support, wishing to improve their grades and we saw an increase of 1 or 2 grades from their first to second mocks! Amazing! What I'm most proud of, is how often parents tell me I've increased their child's confidence, or that their child is enjoying English with me after hating it for so long!

I have also taught English abroad in Italy and Thailand, as well as teaching English as a Second Language at colleges in England. Overall, I've been teaching and tutoring for about 9 years!

Well-being and mental health are the most important thing to me, which is why I focus on increasing the confidence of every single one of my students and teach in a way that is tailored for the needs of each individual.

About the lesson

What matters most to me as an online English tutor is that children are happy and confident, so my lessons focus on this first before anything else. I specifically work with the student to identify their weaknesses and then we set small regular goals together!

I am a fun and engaging KS3 and GCSE private tutor and approach every lesson completely differently depending on the needs of my student. I understand that each student is completely different and will enjoy working in a different way. How you learn best is how I will teach you, but we'll have fun along the way.

I am most experienced in KS3 and GCSE but also have experience in preparing children for secondary school.
