About Mischa

As someone who has always loved English from a young age, I understand how transformative a good tutor can be. During my own GCSES, having a tutor for maths was incredibly helpful, giving me confidence to tackle challenging topics and also acting as a safe outlet for me to ask problems. Inspired by that experience, I aim to provide the same environment and support to students who need some extra help with English GCSE. I aim to make my tutoring sessions enjoyable, approachable and rewarding, helping my students to improve their skills, while also developing a genuine appreciation for English. My lessons are professional, structured, and tailored to each students unique needs, with lesson plans to facilitate weak areas I identify, and also the students areas of concern. This allows students to ensure they feel confident while learning and have input in our tutoring sessions!

About the lesson

I am a passionate, cheerful and enthusiastic young student, with tutoring sessions aimed towards GCSE students. I understand that English is a tricky subject and I’m here to facilitate any student at any level to help them achieve their absolute best. I tailor my tutoring sessions to the individual needs of each student, by focusing on building their confidence and understanding key concepts. My teaching includes exam practise, interactive discussions, in depth analysis of text’s and active learning techniques. Lessons are usually 60 minutes long, starting with a recap of previous material, followed by new content, and ending with targeted exam-style questions and feedback. I will offer and suggest different revision/memory techniques which I used as a GCSE English student and now an A Level English student, such as flashcards and mind maps to help my students retain information effectively.
