About Laura
My name is Laura & I’ve been teaching English in secondary schools in London for over 9 years now. After graduating from Loughborough uni studying Drama, I went on to undertake a postgrad degree & gain QTS at UCL / Teach First’s Leadership Development Programme.
During maternity leave, I set up my own private English tutoring company (Excel in English) to support students out of the classroom as well as my usual teaching job. I really love supporting students on a 1-1 basis and seeing success.
I have over 9 years experience working with students of all abilities and supporting students with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH and other SEN.
Macbeth is still my favourite part of Literature and my favourite quote has to be “Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow / Creeps in this petty pace from day to day”

My resources are high quality, appropriately scaffolded for the needs of all pupils & use a range of different learning styles - dual coding, repetition, modelling of best practice.
