About Hunain

Hi, I’m Muhammed — a highly motivated Maths tutor and Accounting & Finance undergraduate predicted a First-Class degree. I achieved all 9s at GCSE and four A*s at A-Level (including Maths and sciences), and I specialise in helping students achieve top grades through clear explanations, structured practice, and exam-focused preparation.

Alongside my studies, I have over 1,000 hours of teaching and lesson planning experience from working as a Teaching Assistant and tutor at an independent school, where I delivered Maths and Science lessons and supported students across a range of abilities. I have also mentored over 100 students through academic programmes, helping many achieve significant improvements in performance and confidence.

My academic success is supported by strong analytical skills and disciplined study methods, which I pass on to my students. As Vice Chair of my university’s Finance Society and a scholarship recipient, I am used to balancing high standards, leadership responsibilities, and time management — skills that allow me to support students not only academically but also in developing effective study habits.

Being a current university student means I understand the pressures of modern exams and exactly what is required to achieve Grades 8–9 at GCSE or A/A* at A-Level. I aim to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and exam success by providing focused, supportive guidance tailored to each student’s goals.

Whether a student needs to catch up, secure a pass, or push for the highest grades, I provide patient, reliable, and results-driven tutoring in a calm and encouraging environment.

About the lesson

My lessons are fully personalised to the student’s level, learning style, and academic goals. I focus on building strong foundations first, then developing the problem-solving skills and exam technique needed to achieve high marks.

A typical lesson combines explanation, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I break complex topics into manageable steps, ensuring the student understands not just how to solve a problem, but why the method works. As confidence grows, we move on to more challenging questions to stretch ability and prepare for real exam conditions.

I place strong emphasis on past paper practice and identifying weak areas early, so time is spent where it will make the greatest difference. Students are encouraged to ask questions freely, and mistakes are treated as part of the learning process rather than something to fear.

Where helpful, I can also provide homework, revision guidance, and strategies for independent study between sessions. My aim is not only to improve grades in the short term but to help students become confident learners who can tackle unfamiliar problems on their own.

My teaching style is calm, patient, and encouraging, creating an environment where students feel comfortable engaging with the subject. By combining strong academic knowledge with real teaching experience, I strive to ensure every lesson leads to measurable progress and increased confidence.
