Nikola is a respected tutor in our community. They are highly recommended for their commitment and the quality of their lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Nikola
I have over five years of experience helping GCSE and A-level maths students improve their confidence and performance.
I focus on helping students truly understand topics rather than just memorise methods and I teach exam strategy, which is often overlooked.
Parents and students value my bespoke spreadsheet that covers all topics, includes targeted practice questions, and tracks progress clearly. It takes the guesswork out of revision. You can see what’s secure, what’s shaky, and what will improve marks fastest, so you always know what to revise next and whether you’re doing enough.

My lessons are designed around a simple, systematic plan, because most students do not struggle due to lack of effort. They struggle because revision is unfocused, confidence takes a hit, and small gaps or habits quietly leak marks. I use a tracking spreadsheet to break the course into topics, link targeted practice questions, and track progress clearly, so we always know what to work on next and why.
In lessons, we build confidence by breaking topics into clear steps and using mistakes as feedback rather than failure. We also uncover and fix knowledge gaps early, whether they came from changing teachers, moving sets, switching schools, or missing key lessons, so later topics stop feeling impossible. If a student knows the method but loses marks to small slips, we focus on routines that reduce careless mistakes, including systematic checking and spotting personal error patterns. For wordy questions, we practise turning language into maths, so students learn how to extract what matters and set the problem up correctly. And for students who run out of time, we train pacing and question selection using exam style practice, so they can work efficiently under pressure and finish more of the paper.

Perfect! He is really great and he has a lot of patience
- Got to know each other, and explored a range of topics and identified weaknesses in knowledge, exam strategy, and long term plans. Homework set to be covered in the following lesson.Nikola's response :
Perfect! Nik is a wonderful maths tutor. My son had one in-person lesson with him and then we moved to online lessons. My son found the Google classroom works really well and we are going to continue with this arrangement next year. I would not hesitate to recommend Nik. All lessons have been wonderful and my son’s maths grade has improved even after a few lessons.
Perfect! A fantastic maths tutor. Nik has a calm and patient approach and tailors each lesson to suit our daughter's needs. He is very hardworking and dedicated, and our daughter feels comfortable learning with him. We have already seen improvements in her confidence and understanding. Highly recommended!!!

I’ve studied with Nik for 3 years, and he’s always been able to help out when the maths gets tough. He’s brilliant at breaking a hard problem down into steps that actually make sense, and he never makes you feel daft for asking. He’s organised and clearly enjoys explaining things. I’d happily recommend him to anyone looking for a maths tutor.
One of the most reliable and genuinely kind people I know. He’s calm, he listens properly, and he puts real effort into his work. He puts a lot of care into his tutoring.
Nik helped me when I was struggling with maths. He worked out exactly where I was getting stuck and explained it in a way that finally made sense. Great teacher, and I’d recommend him without hesitation.
Nikola is my older brother, and has been helping me with my gcses this year. He normally teaches maths but was helping me out with chemistry physics and maths and I think I gained around 20 marks in my final chemistry exam because he explained hard topics so well the night before the exam!
Nik has always had a knack for making tricky ideas seem simple. He explains things in a way that clicks, and his positive attitude really helps people feel at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for extra support.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Nik as a tutor. His ability to simplify complex topics and adapt his explanations to suit different learners is second to none. He’s reliable, knowledgeable and genuinely committed to helping students succeed.
Nik has a real talent for explaining difficult concepts in a clear, straightforward way and always finds the right approach to help you feel confident. Anyone learning with him will be in very capable hands.
Patient, approachable and knows exactly how to break things down so that they make sense. I’ve no doubt his students benefit hugely from the way he supports and encourages them.
