About Aamra
About me:
Hi, I’m currently studying Law at university and will be starting my second year in September. Having completed my own GCSEs relatively recently and achieved a Grade 7 in Maths, I understand both the challenges and pressures students can face.
I enjoy tutoring because I find it rewarding to help students reach the point where difficult topics begin to make sense. My aim is to make maths feel less overwhelming by breaking problems into simple steps and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I believe confidence and understanding go hand in hand, and I want students to leave lessons feeling more capable, prepared, and positive about maths.

My Approach to Tutoring
When supporting students, I focus on breaking problems down into simple, logical steps and identifying exactly where confusion begins. I explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style so maths feels more manageable and easier to remember.
I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to build confidence, strengthen exam technique, and help students become more independent in their learning.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is patient, structured, and supportive. I guide students step by step through topics, helping them understand the reasoning behind each method rather than memorising answers. I encourage questions and focus on building confidence so students feel more prepared in lessons and exams.
