About Emma
To the parents of future students, I would like to reassure you that my age will not have a negative effect on the efficiency and outcome of my teaching, and in fact it could aid your children. Being closer in age to them I can relate to them more than an older tutor and understand potential struggles they have studying English. I can provide them with advice and maintain a professional relationship whilst simultaneously being a friend.

My belief is that students respond more positively to personalised education which is more student centered and allows me to tailor my lessons and teaching style to their personality, strenghts and weaknesses. My strategy is to get to know my pupils in order to deserve their respect so that we can learn to work together. My lessons are targeted at 6 - 14 year olds due to my experience as a voluntary Teaching Assistant at a local primary school. The length of the lesson varies depending on the age of the child and is usually between 30 - 90 minutes.
