About Lorenz
With 6 years of tutoring experience, I help students think like programmers, not just pass exams. I teach GCSE, A-Level, and university computer science, covering Python, Java, C++, and core topics from basics to advanced data structures. My background includes both teaching and hands-on software development, so I bridge the gap between textbook theory and real code.
I’ve spent the last 6 years working with students who felt lost in class or stuck on coursework. Together we debug errors, plan projects, and break big problems into small wins. I’m big on explaining the “why” behind code, because once you understand the logic, everything gets easier. We’ll use your school material, past papers, and mini projects to build skills that stick.
My lessons are relaxed and supportive. No question is too basic and no bug is too messy. If you want help with GCSE tasks, A-Level NEA, or university assignments, I’ll meet you at your level and help you level up. My lessons turn confusion into confidence. For GCSE students, we build strong foundations in Python and computational thinking. At A-Level, we focus on exam technique, pseudocode, and languages like Java or C#. University students get support with advanced topics, coursework, and clean, efficient code.
Every session includes practical coding, real examples, and tips examiners love. You’ll leave each lesson with working code and a clearer head.
We start by checking your current gaps, then build a plan that fits your syllabus and deadlines. GCSE lessons break down loops, lists, functions, and file handling into bite-sized tasks you can reuse in exams. A-Level students learn to write strong pseudocode, trace complex algorithms, and structure their NEA from idea to testing. At university level, we work through data structures, OOP design, databases, and how to optimise your code for marks and readability.
I also share debugging strategies, common pitfalls, and how to comment and test like a real developer. Whether you need weekly support or urgent help before a deadline, sessions are calm, structured, and focused on making you independent. No prior experience needed. Just bring your questions and we’ll solve them together.
