About Reid

I am a passionate singing tutor with over 6 years of experience teaching students from schools, colleges, and professional backgrounds. My goal is to help students discover their unique voice, improve their technical skills, and perform confidently in any setting. I believe that singing is both a skill and an art form, combining technique, emotion, and self-expression, and I guide students to master all these aspects.

My lessons are interactive, practical, and student-focused. I teach vocal techniques such as pitch control, breath management, tone modulation, and vocal projection. I also cover music theory, rhythm, sight-reading, and performance skills including stage presence, expression, and musical interpretation. I combine structured exercises with real-life examples to make lessons engaging and enjoyable.

I adapt lessons according to each student’s level and goals. Beginners are guided patiently to build a strong foundation, while advanced learners are coached to refine techniques, prepare for performances, and overcome challenges such as stage anxiety or vocal fatigue. I emphasise consistent practice, structured feedback, and measurable progress.

My mission is to create a motivating, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where students feel confident exploring their voice, expressing themselves, and developing a lifelong passion for singing.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for Singing combines technical instruction with emotional support to help students develop steadily and confidently.

I use real-life examples and case studies from songs, performances, and everyday voice use to explain vocal techniques in a simple and practical way. Empathy is at the core of my teaching, as I understand that each student’s voice journey is unique. I follow a flexible teaching approach, customising lessons according to the student’s progress, vocal range, and personal goals.

Clear communication helps students understand techniques easily and apply them confidently. Using a problem-solving approach, I guide students to overcome vocal challenges such as breath support, pitch control, and voice strain. In addition to Singing, I also teach subjects like music fundamentals, ear training, rhythm practice, vocal care, and performance preparation.
