About Mubariz

I am a Geoscience researcher with an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's degree and an incoming PhD researcher in Geology. My academic journey has taken me across Pakistan, France, Greece and Poland, where I have worked on internationally funded research projects in micropalaeontology, sedimentology and palaeoenvironmental reconstruction.

As a Gold Medallist in Geology and recipient of several competitive international scholarships and travel awards, I understand the dedication required for academic success. I enjoy helping students not only achieve better grades but also develop genuine curiosity about Earth and its history. My goal is to make geology engaging, practical and easy to understand while sharing insights gained through international research and field experiences.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to build a strong conceptual understanding rather than relying on memorisation. I combine clear explanations with interactive discussions, carefully selected reading material and hands-on exercises to help students understand and retain key geological concepts.

I use simple geological models and visual demonstrations to explain complex Earth processes. One of my favourite approaches is taking students on a journey through geological deep time, helping them visualise how mountains formed, oceans evolved and fossils were preserved. I also connect concepts with local, regional and global geological examples to develop a broader understanding of Earth systems.

To reinforce learning, I encourage students to prepare concise notes and begin each lesson with a short discussion of previous topics, ensuring continuous revision and long-term retention.

I have over five years of combined research, professional and teaching experience in Earth Sciences, mentoring students from diverse academic backgrounds. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether for school, university coursework, examinations or research projects. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes.
