About Juan
I’m a graduate student in Economics at CU Denver with a background in Sociology. Alongside my studies, I’ve spent over a decade teaching and working with people of all ages — from kids in summer camps and community programs to adults in leadership and teamwork activities. Languages are a big part of my life. I’m fluent in English, German, and Spanish, and I’ve also studied Chinese and French. I’ve been teaching German for 11 years, and while living in Germany I worked at a community center supporting kids and families — an experience that deepened my love for education and cultural exchange. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about sports, the arts and nature — from skiing, running, and outdoor activities to music, theater, and creative projects. As an international student in Denver, I enjoy bringing my multicultural background and experiences into every lesson I teach.

I teach German through integrated and experiential learning, combining language practice with culture, daily life situations, and interactive activities.
My lessons are dynamic, practical, and adapted to each student’s age, level, and goals. From beginners to B2 proficiency.
A typical lesson includes conversation practice, vocabulary building, and grammar explained in simple, clear terms. I also bring in cultural insights, games, role-plays, or real-life scenarios to make learning both fun and memorable.
What sets me apart is my 11 years of German teaching experience and 13 years in integrated and experiential education with children, teenagers, and adults.
Having lived in Munich, I don’t just teach the language — I help students connect with the culture, traditions, and daily life in Germany.
