About Kath

I am a native German speaker who is enthusiastic about teaching a language and enjoys engaging with people. My background is in literary studies. I have completed a PhD in Anglophone Modernist Literature at the University of Manchester in England where I have also taught literature. Shortly after I have relocated to São Paulo where I now teach German to a variety of students and professionals.

About the lesson

> Through dialogues you will expand your vocabulary, gain confidence, and improve pronunciation in a dynamic and organic way. Our sessions are largely in German. Don't worry if you are a beginner! We will begin with very simple dialogues.

> You will study grammar from the perspective of learning how to communicate successfully and competently what you have in mind.

> A variety of materials (texts, videos, audios) help you to practice reading and listening while learning about German culture, society and current affairs.

> Classes, materials and priorities reflect your language level and interests.

For anyone (academic or amateur) with an interest in literature and translation: I am happy to read and together reflect on a German text (and its translations).

I teach all levels from A1 to C2.
