About Cedric

I'm Cédric, a classical guitarist from New Brunswick currently completing my Doctorate in Music Performance at the University of Toronto. I was named one of CBC's 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30, and I've won First Prize at the Canadian National Music Festival two years in a row — but what I'm most passionate about is helping students fall in love with the guitar. My musical journey started on electric guitar, playing rock, blues, and metal before diving deep into classical training. That combination gives me a rare versatility: I genuinely love and teach both worlds, and I can meet you wherever your musical interests lie. I teach in English and French.

About the lesson

Whether you're picking up the guitar for the very first time or looking to level up your playing seriously, my lessons are tailored to your goals — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I work with beginners, intermediate players, and advanced students across classical, rock, blues, metal, and everything in between.
I can help you prepare for RCM exams, university auditions, or competitions — or if you want to play your favourite songs without any exam pressure, that's completely welcome too. My approach balances solid technique with real creativity, so you build strong foundations while actually enjoying the process. Most of my beginners are playing their first full piece within a few months.
