About Albert
I’m a drum tutor with 17 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. My passion for drumming began early, and teaching became a natural extension of that passion. I’ve worked with students of all ages, especially beginners. My lessons focus on building solid fundamentals. You’ll learn stick technique, rhythm patterns, and proper drumming posture. I believe every student can improve through structured guidance and patience. Lessons are paced to match each learner’s comfort and goals. I incorporate fun songs to keep students motivated. Practice routines are designed to be clear and manageable. I value steady progress and positive reinforcement. My environment is calm, safe, and welcoming. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explore their creativity. I enjoy seeing learners gain confidence over time. My teaching style is warm, friendly, and encouraging. I help students develop good habits that last. Drumming has brought joy to my life, and I love sharing that with others. I would be honoured to support your musical journey.

My drum lessons are designed to cultivate creativity, improvisation, and artistic expression alongside technical skill. Each lesson is personalised for the student’s level and goals, whether beginners exploring rhythms, intermediate drummers refining patterns, or advanced players experimenting with improvisation. Lessons cover timing, stick control, hand independence, coordination, groove, dynamics, rhythm reading, and expressive phrasing. I incorporate exercises, song practice, play-alongs, and improvisation challenges to make lessons engaging, inspiring, and practical. Students receive guidance on structured practice, milestone tracking, and goal-setting to ensure steady growth. My teaching environment is positive, encouraging, and supportive, allowing learners to explore their own style confidently. Lessons emphasise listening skills, musical analysis, and practical application in both solo and ensemble contexts. Students gradually develop technical mastery, rhythmic independence, coordination, and expressive ability. Milestones are celebrated to reinforce progress and maintain motivation. Each session balances structure with creative freedom, fostering independence, innovation, and self-expression. Drumming becomes a medium for communication, artistry, and emotional release. Students develop problem-solving, adaptability, and musical awareness alongside skill development.
