About Bastien

With 9+ years of experience in music education, I am a dedicated flute tutor committed to helping students from school to college level achieve their musical goals and grow with confidence. Music has always been my passion, and teaching allows me to share that passion in a meaningful and inspiring way.

Throughout my journey, I have guided many students, helping them improve their skills and gain confidence in their performances. A key milestone in my career has been preparing students for stage performances and competitions, where they have successfully showcased their abilities. My teaching approach is clear, practical, and flexible, focusing on essential techniques such as breathing control, posture, tone quality, and finger placement.

I also encourage creativity and self-expression so students can truly enjoy learning music. I believe that music education is not just about learning an instrument but also about building discipline, focus, and confidence, and my goal is to create a positive and motivating learning environment.

About the lesson

I use a structured teaching methodology based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to help students learn flute effectively and enjoyably. I believe that every student can succeed with proper guidance and consistent practice.

I start by understanding each student’s level and goals so I can create personalised lesson plans. I motivate students by setting achievable targets and recognising their progress, which helps them stay focused.

Communication helps me explain breathing techniques, fingering, posture, and tone production in a simple and clear way. With integrity, I ensure students learn step by step and build strong fundamentals. I provide honest feedback and guide them patiently.

Creativity allows me to design engaging lessons with songs, exercises, and interactive activities. In addition to flute, I also teach music basics like rhythm, scales, and listening skills to support overall learning.
