About ALI
I am a GIS, Remote Sensing, and GeoAI professional with 3+ years of applied experience in geospatial analysis, WebGIS, spatial databases, satellite image processing, and AI-based mapping. I have worked with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, Python, PostGIS, GeoPandas, Rasterio, Leaflet, Mapbox, and remote-sensing datasets such as Sentinel-2.
My experience includes agricultural field-boundary mapping using deep learning, land-use and land-cover classification, coastal erosion and shoreline monitoring, environmental analysis, energy-infrastructure planning, spatial decision-support systems, interactive GIS dashboards, and web mapping applications. I have also worked on GIS and GeoAI research projects in Canada and professional GIS projects supporting planning and infrastructure analysis.
I focus on teaching GIS concepts through practical examples so students can understand mapping, spatial analysis, remote sensing, GeoAI, and real-world geospatial problem solving rather than only learning software tools.
