About Giulia

Hi! I’m Giulia Bernardini, a second-year Economics and Mathematics student at McMaster University. I’m a patient, reliable, and approachable tutor who truly enjoys helping students grow in confidence. I believe every student learns differently, and learning is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I take pride in creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students develop independence, motivation, and a positive attitude toward learning. From my personal experience, learning has often been looked at from an inherently negative standpoint, and as someone who struggled when they were younger with school motivation, it wasn't until I found the right tutor who showed me what I was capable of and truly believed in me that I was able to find the joy in learning.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Giulia Bernardini. I am currently completing my second year at McMaster University, where I study Economics and Mathematics. I am passionate about helping students learn and gain confidence in their academic abilities. I tutor math and economics and am skilled in English studies for students from ages 3 through 12, and am happy to work with learners at a variety of skill levels.

I have experience tutoring at Grenoble Public School, where I helped students understand course material and strengthen their study habits. I worked both one-on-one and in small groups, adapting my approach to suit different learning styles and ensure each student felt supported and capable.

In addition, I am patient, organized, and committed to developing a positive, encouraging learning environment. I work to adapt my teaching style to each student's preferred learning style, whether that means using visual aids, hands-on activities, or step-by-step explanations. I also make it a priority to celebrate progress and help students set achievable goals, so they feel motivated and confident. I am happy to assist with homework, test preparation, and the development of strong foundational skills.
