About Lucie

I am experienced mostly as piano teacher and piano accompanist for instrumentalist, singers and dancers, but also as a concert pianist. I have nine years teaching experience of different levels.
I've been teaching piano to children and adults of different levels (including small children). I am willing to teach by ears, from sheet music or work on your own music. I was teaching in Czech Republic and UK and every year I teach in international Czech Music Camp for Youth, CR. I welcome to teach the soloist, but also the group of people who likes to play a chamber music.
Thanks to my uninterrupted study, I keep up with the latest piano pedagogy trends which I am applying to my teaching according to personal consideration and student’s needs. I am a member of one of the Methodological centres (at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts, Brno, CR) where we are constantly pursuing the newest ideas in way of piano teaching in Europe and observing the colleagues creative thoughts, how to make a learning piano easy and even more enjoyable.

About the lesson

I am a graduate from Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (Czech Republic) where I completed a Post Graduate certificate for Piano Interpretation and Piano Teaching. I just moved to Glasgow to continue my studies at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During my studies I was in abroad for exchange studies – 2 semesters in England at University of Chichester and 2 semesters at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. All of these stays helped me to gain a wider view in the music area.
I have an experience from many different environments, I have cooperated with many musicians in many various groups (duets, trios, bands and as a member of orchestra). I have done also some soloist concert tours (Czech Republic, England, Scotland, France, Greece). Apart from this I have been collaborating with dancers and played for silent movies as well. The connection of music with other arts is my big passion.
Currently I am a student of Piano and Dance course at Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and still an active performer. My specialisation belongs to music of 20th century, cabaret music, free improvisation, ballet music and playing for silent movies. But I am experienced in other classical styles and popular music.
