About Kevin
With over 9 years of experience teaching drums, I work mainly with college students who want to develop strong rhythm control and creative playing skills. My goal is to make learning drums simple and effective. My teaching method blends creativity, structure, and mentorship. I explain concepts in easy language and guide students through hands-on practice. I encourage independent thinking and musical exploration.
I use innovative learning methods such as groove mapping, beat construction, and tempo variation drills. I also include improvisation sessions to improve musical flow and confidence. Accountability is an important part of my teaching. I provide personalized practice plans, monitor progress, and give constructive feedback. Besides drums, I teach related subjects like rhythm theory, basic notation, and performance skills. My lessons create a positive and motivating learning environment.
