About Jumana
I’m a university student with strong recent experience of the UK exam system. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE English and an *A at A-Level English*.
Because I sat these exams relatively recently, I understand both the academic content and the pressure students can feel around revision, timing and knowing how to turn good ideas into high-mark answers.
I particularly enjoy helping students become more confident writers and more precise analysts. My aim is not to give students answers to memorise, but to teach them a repeatable method they can apply independently in lessons, homework and exams.

My lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to each student. I focus on helping students understand what examiners are actually looking for and then turning this into practical techniques they can use independently.
We can work on GCSE English Language and Literature, A-level English Language, close language analysis, essay structure, creative writing, unseen texts, quotation selection and exam timing. I use past-paper-style questions, model answers and targeted feedback, adapting each lesson to the student’s current level and target grade.
The first lesson is used to identify strengths, gaps and priorities so we can build a clear plan rather than simply working through random worksheets.
