About Maya
I am a dedicated guitarist currently studying music BTEC and Music technology at college. I achieved a music GCSE and completed three years of music theory training. I have performed in big band, guitar ensemble, chamber choir, soul band, punk band, solo with my own accompaniment and a jazz, pop and rock band, giving me experience across a range of styles. I play acoustic and electric guitar to approximately grade 6-7 standard, singing to grade 6, and play piano to grade 3.

My guitar lessons are designed specifically for beginners or guitarists with little experience, with a strong focus on building confidence, good technique, expanding musical knowledge and a genuine enjoyment of music. We will cover essential skills such as basic chords, strumming and picking techniques, rhythm, simple music theory, and learning songs you enjoy. I teach both electric and acoustic guitar and can also introduce singing alongside guitar if students are interested.
