About JunHoong
As a logical thinker who enjoys analyzing problems deeply, I bring clarity and structure to my teaching. I'm also competitive by nature, which drives me to help my students achieve their best. As a tutor with a background in Actuarial Science, I bring a strong foundation in logical thinking and problem-solving — but more importantly, I believe that every child learns differently.
In my lessons, I focus not just on improving IQ (math skills, reasoning, and academic performance), but also on nurturing EQ (emotional understanding, confidence, and motivation). I take time to understand each student’s personality, strengths, challenges, and learning pace. I use creative methods like stories or real-life examples to make math enjoyable and relatable.
I aim to create a safe, encouraging space where students feel heard, supported, and capable — because a confident child learns better. Whether your child needs help catching up or wants to build a stronger math foundation, I tailor my teaching to bring out their full potential.
