About Anthony

Hi! My name is Tony and I am a qualified teacher of English as a second/foreign language. I hold a degree in teaching English, two teaching qualifications (TEFL and CELTA) and I am currently doing a Master's in Linguistics at the University of Manchester. I have 5+ years experience in teaching English as a foreign and second language and English language and literature, and I have taught students from all over the world and of very different ages - my oldest student was 66 and the youngest 6! I taught with big education companies such as Education First but also worked side by side with local schools to help pupils with English and ESOL. I am passionate about what I do and I love teaching!

About the lesson

My teaching benefits hugely from my undergraduate degree in teaching English and my two teaching qualifications. I was the best teacher at EF in the UK and Ireland in 2021, elected by the students, and best teacher on campus in 2019. I always find ways to make his classes engaging and interesting. Learning efficiently can be fun, and I have proven this in every single class I taught. My sessions emphasise the importance of simplicity in learning by breaking down the knowledge and tailoring this to the students’ needs and interests.
