About Ashika
Hi! I’m a dedicated and friendly tutor with experience teaching English, Math, and French to students from elementary to high school. I’m an IB graduate and a certified UCMAS instructor, with a strong background in both academic support and enrichment programs. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners—from those needing extra help to those aiming to excel—and I always tailor my approach to suit each student’s pace, goals, and learning style. I create a comfortable space where students feel encouraged, capable, and confident. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, effective, and stress-free. As a tutor, I prioritize making learning engaging, personalized, and confidence-building. I draw on my experience as an IB graduate and UCMAS instructor to break down complex topics into clear, relatable steps, using interactive methods that cater to each student’s learning style—whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.
I teach both how and why, encouraging curiosity and confidence. As an IB graduate and trained UCMAS instructor, I bring tested methods for building focus, memory, and academic skills. I make sure students feel heard, understood, and never afraid to ask questions
I follow a student-centered approach that balances structure with flexibility. I:
-Begin with a diagnostic to identify strengths and challenges
-Use interactive exercises, visuals, and real-life examples to enhance understanding
-Incorporate active recall and spaced repetition for long-term retention
-Regularly review past content to strengthen foundational knowledge
-Encourage critical thinking and independent problem-solving
-In language subjects (English), I focus on building strong reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills using writing prompts, games, articles, and discussions.
I teach elementary to high school students, whether they need help catching up, want to stay ahead, or are preparing for academic programs like IB. I tailor lessons for ESL learners, struggling students, and students looking to get a head-start.
