About BALBUENA,
I am a Licensed Professional Teacher with experience teaching Grade 4 students during my internship and currently working as a Playgroup Teacher for children with autism and Down syndrome. I believe in a student-centered approach, adapting my teaching strategies to meet each learner's individual needs. I provide a patient, supportive, and engaging learning environment while helping students build confidence and improve their skills. I specialize in assisting students who need extra support, particularly in the Filipino (Tagalog) language.

As a tutor, I focus on a student-centered approach that encourages active participation and meaningful learning. I use a variety of teaching strategies to address each student's unique learning needs and abilities. In lesson planning, I am experienced in preparing detailed lesson plans, having taught Grade 4 students during my internship two years ago. I provide guidance and support while encouraging students to complete tasks independently to build their confidence and critical thinking skills. I am patient and consistent in giving constructive feedback, and I maintain a calm and supportive coaching style. I also use both formative and summative assessments to identify areas where students may be struggling and to monitor their progress. My goal is to provide effective and personalized instruction, particularly for students who need additional support in the Filipino (Tagalog) language.
