My approach to tutoring is centered around understanding each student’s current knowledge and adapting my teaching methods to fit their learning style. When teaching Mandarin, I start by assessing the student’s familiarity with the language, whether they are beginners or have some prior experience. I focus on building a strong foundation in pronunciation and tones, as these are crucial to mastering Mandarin. I use a variety of teaching techniques, including multimedia resources and real-life scenarios, to keep lessons engaging and practical.
Typically, my lessons are one hour long, which allows for an in-depth exploration of key topics while maintaining focus. I am flexible with lesson length depending on the student’s goals and needs. As a native Mandarin speaker and with experience as a Teaching Assistant during my university years, I have developed the skills to guide students of all levels. My aim is to break down complex concepts and ensure that each student progresses steadily, gaining confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
I offer lessons to learners of all ages and skill levels, whether they are children, teenagers, or adults. My classes are tailored for anyone looking to improve their Mandarin for personal, academic, or professional purposes.
