About Chloe
Hello, I am Mengying Xiao from Beijing, China and based in Sydney now. My English name is Chloe, and I am delighted to introduce myself here. I will present three aspects of who I am:
Firstly, I have substantial teaching experience. I participated in the "Visually Impaired Children's English Companion Reading Charity Program" initiated by the Beijing Love and Blessing Center for the Visually Impaired. I have accumulated a total service duration of 30 hours. During my volunteer service, I prepared course materials with audio and video in both Chinese and English, including PPT presentations. I am proficient in creating and using teaching materials. In communicating and teaching children, I am very patient, skilled at guiding them to improve, and possess basic abilities to serve disabled individuals. Additionally, I consistently engage in 30-minute regular conversations with foreign partners on the HelloTalk app, demonstrating good bilingual communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Secondly, I am filled with enthusiasm for education. Although I do not have a background in education, as a native Chinese speaker, I have had a deep love for Chinese literature since childhood. I aspire to spread the beauty and profoundness of the Chinese language worldwide, allowing more people to understand Chinese culture. I also hope to be a support for those learning Chinese.
Furthermore, my interests and hobbies drive me to become a Chinese teacher. In my free time, I enjoy writing novels and essays in Chinese, a hobby cultivated since childhood. In the future, I am about to pursue a master's degree in Australia, aiming to enhance my English proficiency and better contribute to Chinese teaching.
In conclusion, I am passionate about education and Chinese teaching. During the teaching process, I will wholeheartedly tailor teaching plans for each student, providing high-quality educational services.
