About Annie
I graduated from Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a BM in voice performance and a minor in women's, gender, and sexuality studies. For four years, I had prestigious vocal training and coaching and have since begun offering lessons to kids and young adults. I draw from my own experience in voice lessons and look to curate an experience unique to the singer. I took AP music theory in high school, got a 5 on both sections of the exam, and then took two years of college-level theory. After graduating, I was a substitute teacher in a public school system and had a long-term assignment at a high school where I taught AP music theory for 6 weeks. This both refreshed my knowledge and affirmed it. I have pursued music earnestly for 10 years of my life now, and I am highly passionate about teaching it to others!

Finding your groove in learning music can be difficult, but it doesn't have to be. Whether you are seeking help with theory homework or looking for a vocal coach for a new piece, I will help you find your groove. No single style of learning fits all; we are complex humans with different skills and ways of obtaining information. Together, we can craft a style that works best for you. - Vocal lessons/coachings: all levels/ages through high school In lessons, we can work on pre-assigned repertoire or I can offer you some based on your interests and skill-level. I am classically trained and currently pursuing a career in musical theater. - Music theory tutoring: all levels/ages Whether you are in a beginning theory class, AP theory, or college-level theory, I am here to help! Music theory is one of my favorite subjects, and I'm a firm believer that once you find the right approach, it will also be yours. If you aren't in a structured theory class, I can also provide you with curriculum. - Musical literacy: beginners If you are just beginning in music and would like to learn how to better read and/or perform music, for any instrument, I can help! I love teaching the basics of musical literacy i.e. note identification, solfege, and will help you get started on this journey. -
