About Sabrina

Hello! I'm Sabrina Díaz. Pianist, composer, and teacher from Uruguay. I study and play music since I was 6 years old. When I turned 15 I was already playing in a jazz youth orchestra. From then on I worked as a professional musician playing piano and keyboards in a lot of different projects of different music genres, touring inside and outside of Uruguay. I also put together my own band, and have played my songs with them on various stages. In parallel, I've always given lessons, as I love sharing musical knowledge and helping students go through their musical journey.

About the lesson

Lessons are 1 hour long. They are completely personalized. I try to adjust to the student's personal connection with music, and also to their learning dynamic and time availability, while always suggesting specific goals, and different aspects to work on, that I find relevant. The aim is an equilibrium of theory and practical elements. Always listening to songs that serve as examples of music theory topics, and on the other side, always analyzing the music we like and play. Apart from that, I try to encourage creativity by proposing composition and improvisation exercises, even if that's not where your focus is.
