About Jessica
After over a decade on Wall Street and Corporate M&A, I made a purposeful shift to pursue my lifelong passion: music. I was honored to receive a full-tuition teaching scholarship to the Mannes School of Music, where I earned my degree in Classical Piano Performance. During my time at Mannes, I specialized in piano pedagogy, studying effective teaching methods for students at all levels. I also gained valuable experience teaching the Piano 1A and Piano 1B Undergraduate course for musicians who are non-pianists, which deepened my understanding of diverse learning styles and instructional techniques. My approach to teaching combines structured, goal-oriented methods with a nurturing environment that fosters creativity and confidence. Whether your child is a beginner or looking to advance their skills, I tailor lessons to support their individual growth both musically and personally.

I believe music education should be both structured and inspiring. My approach balances technical development, creative expression, and practical goals—tailored to each student’s learning style and pace.
I incorporate:
Ear training & sight-reading from the beginning
A mix of traditional methods (e.g., Alfred, Suzuki, or Bastien books) and modern tools (apps, backing tracks, and improvisation)
Emphasis on musicianship, not just notes—students learn to listen, interpret, and perform confidently
Positive reinforcement and goal setting to build motivation and consistency
I also provide recorded practice guides, feedback between lessons, and custom lesson materials when needed.
