As a mother and somebody with general babysitting/childminding experience, I can easily say my method is to generally be calm and create quick connections that allow my students to open their minds.
First establishing what my clients wish to gain from the experience as well as the time frame they want to achieve it in.
I try and set up base plans of general structure
- an overview of subject
- which part student has most trouble with
- learning how they understand best
then I jump right into reviewing knowledge, sometimes in repetition of certain areas to trigger memories and other techniques like this.
I am also a Massey University Graduate with Majors in English, journalism, PR and Human resources.
My minors are creative writing and phycology, which personally gives me a good insight into how people respond to things and allows me to teach them in suitable ways.
Lessons range from 1-3 Hours typically.
I have experience in ages 5-18 as of current.
Tutored successfully through NCEA exams as well as basic STARR testing and general comprehension
