I strive to create hands on lessons that are engaging and motivating for students that incorporate personal interests.
A typical lesson plan would be divided into three sections. First identify the skill that the student is working on for the session through a teacher based approach- this is when I show the student how to use the skill or apply it. Following this I would work with the student to identify the skill together using a guided approach, then I would give the student the opportunity to practice the skill by themselves to show mastery and or practice. This approach is adapted to fit the needs of the students.
